Mundijong began as Jarrahdale Junction, where the Jarrahdale timber line met the Perth to Bunbury railway in 1893, and it is changing again. About 1,250 people lived here at the 2021 Census, the Tonkin Highway Extension is being delivered nearby by Main Roads WA, and the Shire's growth forecasts point to Mundijong taking a large share of the new housing.

That mix of established rural properties, older homes in the townsite and new builds means internet options vary a lot from one street to the next. If you are waiting on an nbn connection, unhappy with the one you have, or building somewhere the network has not reached yet, Starlink is worth pricing.
